The 22nd International Book Fair held in La Paz featured the countries of Latin America as special guests. Participating in the event were Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico and Peru, as well as GRULAC, a Latin American and Caribbean cultural group. The Daughters of St. Paul took part in this important publishing event by means of a stand, which offered our sisters many opportunities to carry out the Pauline apostolate of proclaiming the Good News of Jesus and sowing seeds of good in every human heart.
A significant feature of this year’s Fair was the fact that it was attended by many schools, giving the students the chance to live a unique experience in the world of books and culture.
Numerous people visited the Fair, especially on the days when entrance was free, and many took advantage of the occasion to stop by the FSP stand and to get to know our publications.
Our sisters tell us that the crowds and the interest of the public made them ponder deeply the words of Fr. Alberione: “Where is humanity heading–this humanity that is always renewing itself on the face of the earth?”
