It is necessary “to study criteria and new ways so that women will feel that they are not guests but full participants in the various areas of social and ecclesial life.” Pope Francis addressed these words to the members of the Pontifical Council for Culture, whom he received at the end of their plenary assembly dedicated to the theme, Feminine Cultures: Equality and Difference.

Among other things, the Pope called for a more capillary and incisive feminine presence in different areas, in such a way as to involve women more directly in pastoral duties, the accompaniment of individuals, families and groups, and also in the area of theological reflection.
