Unearthed near Jerusalem’s Temple Mount by Hebrew University archaeologist Dr. Eilat Mazar, a jar fragment bearing an inscription in the Canaanite language has been dated to the tenth century B. C. Dr. Mazar says that the inscription is the only one of its kind and predates the earliest found Hebrew inscription in the region by 250 years.
