From 15-20 September 2015, the Local Church of Madagascar held its 8th Youth Rally in the city of Fianarantsoa on the theme: Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God. About 40,000 young people from the country’s 21 dioceses and also some representatives from islands in the Indian Ocean participated in the event, which was marked by five days of prayer, catechesis, reflection and common life.
Six young Daughters of St. Paul arrived in Fianarantsoa to reinforce the FSP community already present and together the sisters made an effort to reach all the places where encounters were being held. They set up a beautiful book display centered on their latest edition, a pocket-size Gospel, published to support the invitation of Pope Francis to carry the Gospel on one’s person all times.
Our FSP evangelizers took advantage of the rally to also carry out some intensive vocation work, explaining the Pauline charism to the young people and providing them with pamphlets on the subject and information about our Centenary.
