A wealth of initiatives have been launched to celebrate the Year of Consecrated life, inaugurated by Pope Francis so that all religious Orders, Congregations and Institutes will fan into a flame their faith, hope and joy and become meaningful witnesses to Christ through their proclamation of the Gospel and charitable activities.
One recent event in this regard was the Congress for Religious Formators, held in Rome from 9-11 April. 1300 consecrated persons from all over the world gathered to share ideas on how to effectively form young men and women religious.
As a contribution to this event, the Pauline International Multimedia Center hosted a book display featuring hundreds of titles in English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and French on subjects such as the situation of religious life today, initial and ongoing formation, significant experiences in this field in the current socio-ecclesial context and in view of the future, etc.
The participants joyfully welcomed all the material on offer, saying the input will be very useful in integrating and reflecting more profoundly on the subjects discussed during the Congress. Our sisters were glad to be instrumental in sowing seeds that will now be carried to every part of the world and planted there.
