To celebrate World Communications Day this year, the FSPs of our International Multimedia Center, Rome, organized a book launch on 4 May. The new publication, entitled Communicating God: From Creation to the Church of Pope Francis, by Vincenzo Varagona, a journalist for RAI (Italy’s national Television network), was published by ECRA (Edizioni del Credito Cooperativo).

The book illustrates how the Church, through complex stages, has always sought new paths to communicate God, including through the media and today’s new technologies. Both the book’s author and Giuseppe Giulietti, the president of the National Federation of the Italian Press, were present for the event. Mr. Giulietti said that the most important duty of communication is to aim at the dignity of the person and he reminded everyone of how Pope Francis is “broadcasting God” to the world by pointing out places of “inclusion” and obliging the world of communications to follow him.
