In Brazil, the month of September is dedicated to the Bible. This year, the FSP book center of Manaus, capital of Amazonas State, organized a month-long campaign to donate Bibles to people in needy situations throughout the region. The generous contributions sent in by people from all walks of life and in particular from book center clients made it possible for our sisters to donate 151 Bibles to the diocesan office in charge of pastoral work in the Manaus prisons and other needy areas.
They thank their clients, employees and all the other people who made it possible for them to reach many people on the “peripheries,” enabling them to get to know, reflect on and live the Word of God.
