Sr. Lissy Maruthanakuzhy writes to us from India:
“With deep gratitude, we, the community of New Delhi, gathered before our Eucharistic Lord to begin preparations for the celebration of the Platinum (70th Year) Jubilee of our foundation in India.
During this hour of prayer, each sister shared her life journey in the Congregation. We recalled our humble beginnings and the contribution of the first Indian Daughters of St. Paul, along with our founding Italian sisters. The Sisters shared their enthusiasm, their passion, their commitment to spreading the Gospel, and the sacrifices they faced to establish our Congregation on this immense country’s soil. We joyfully recognized that, if our pioneer Sisters laid the foundation and began building the Indian Province with trust and simplicity—even with little academic training—much more we who are equipped with professional skills in various fields must carry out our mission responsibly. Let us pray that we too may continue our journey with enthusiasm, apostolic passion, love and dedication.”
