The first Catholic online radio station in Bangladesh, Radio Jyoti, is celebrating its third anniversary. The radio’s broadcasting location is near Emmaus Catholic Church in Bogra, in the diocese of Rajshahi. The purpose of the online station is to proclaim the message of God and spread the teachings of Jesus Christ through its programs, which can be accessed by smartphone or personal computer and which many young people find very convenient.
Addressing the radio’s audiences, Bishop Gervas Rozario, Vic-President of the Bangladesh Episcopal Conference, said: “From the beginning, Radio Jyoti has spoken about peace and I want to ask all of you to do what you can to foster it. If peace takes root in the world, then you too will live in peace.”
