Gift of the Bible to Homeless Youth

This past September, the FSPs of Mendoza opened their hearts to the request of a young missionary priest to do something for the poorest members of his parish: namely, to make a gift of the Bible to a group of homeless young people who had begun a journey of formation under the guidance of the Jesuits.

Our sisters willingly responded to this plea by launching a campaign to sensitize the public to the plight of these young people, rallying support under the banner: With your help, we can offer the Bible as a gift to someone…. The Lord sees what is done in secret and will reward your generosity.”
Many of the book center’s clients immediately entered into the spirit of the initiative with great enthusiasm and in just a short time our community was able to offer these young people the greatest wealth in the world: the Bible. As Blessed James Alberione reminded the Pauline Family repeatedly: “The Bible is God the Father’s letter to everyone.”
