Dearest Sisters,

With great joy, I would like to inform you that Pope Francis will have a special audience with the Pauline Family for its Centenary of foundation.

This appointment with the Pope, which we have all been yearning for and which was requested by Fr. Silvio Sassi, Superior General of the Society of St. Paul, will take place at noon on 27 November 2014 in the Paul VI Audience Hall, Vatican City. Because of this, the official closing of the Centenary Year will take place on 27 November instead of 26 November, the Feast of Blessed James Alberione, as previously programmed.

I would like to invite all our sisters of Italy in particular to give great importance to this appointment by informing others about it and by participating in it. We hope to have a large turnout to thank Pope Francis and listen to what he has to say to us.

As of now, let us prepare for this event in a spirit of prayer and gratitude to God for a vocation that, in the footsteps of Paul and Alberione, enables us to participate in the Church’s work of evangelization through the many forms and languages of communication.

With deep affection and in a spirit of communion,

Sr. Anna Maria Parenzan
Superior General
