The FSPs and the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization recently held a meeting in Rome on the theme: The Gospel According to Women: Feminine Witnesses in the Contemporary Church. The encounter was also a favorable opportunity to launch a new Pauline publication: Adamantly Women, by Alessandra Buzzetti and Cristiana Caricato.

In the preface to the book, Maria Voce, President of the Focolari Movement, says: “Twelve women who differ from one another with regard to the contexts in which they live, their personal choices and the problems they are trying to resolve…. Reading their stories one after the other enabled me to see the element they all have in common: love!

A love that is not held back by obstacles, that comes up with unforeseen solutions and that urges them to ‘go beyond.’ These are stories of ‘mothers’: in the family circle, on the streets of Cairo, in a monastery, in a newspaper’s editorial office….”

Those who attended the meeting were very glad to have participated in it and many left with a copy of the new book in hand.
