The Redemptorist Vietnamese priest, Fr. Anton Ngoc Than, who works with Vietnam Redemptorist News, a Catholic news service, was included in the list of 100 Information Heroes. This list was drawn up by the organization Reporters without Frontiers, on the World Day for Freedom of the Press, celebrated on May 3, 1014.
This is a recognition of Fr. Anton’s courageous work which helps to promote freedom by “seeking, receiving and diffusing information and ideas through every means without regard to frontiers,” as defined in Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
