The second session of apostolic formation in the Congo/Ivory Coast Delegation took place in Kinshasa from May 2-4, 2014. The presenter for this meeting was Michel Deshors, from Book Conseil in Paris.
With simple and clear language, the presenter spoke about the running of a book center, the diffusion of books in Africa, and the managing of the stock and stockroom. The participants focused their attention on the role of promotion that a book center should carry out, especially by hosting many cultural activities in the center itself or outside of it.
The apostolic formation session concluded in the beautiful and renovated book center of Kinshasa, with a practical exercise and a time of evaluation and sharing proposals for the future. The participants included a good number of Daughters of St. Paul, collaborators and employees and some Pauline cooperators.
This formation session is the fruit of the Delegation Project, in view of a renewed apostolic spirit, and of seeking new ways of apostolic service in this land of Africa.
