Twenty-eight Radio Veritas broadcasters and personnel recently participated in an in-depth 6-day Media Literacy Education Seminar held in Makati City, Philippines. The purpose of the seminar was to provide the participants with the tools and skills necessary to read, analyze and evaluate different forms of media texts in the light of ecclesial documents on the media.

The encounter was coordinated by the FSPs of the Paulines Institute of Communications in Asia (PICA) Foundation, Inc. Radio Veritas was founded in the 1960’s by the Archdiocese of Manila to respond to the pastoral needs of the Local Church. The radio station, which has helped to shape Filipinos and their history, continues to strive to fulfill its goal to be “a radio for truth and evangelization.”
