The Pastorelle Sisters finished their 7th Interchapter Meeting on 31 August 2014. The event was held in Rome and in her concluding address, Sr. Marta Finotelli, Superior General of the Institute, reminded the participants that in his commentary on the tenth chapter of the Gospel of John Fr. Alberione insisted that “care of God’s flock” be understood as the capacity to die for souls, for the lost sheep.
The final Eucharistic Liturgy, concelebrated by Fr. Silvo Sassi, ssp Superior General, and Fr. Vincenzo Marras, ssp Provincial Superior of Italy, summed up the intense experience lived by the sisters both as participants in the Interchapter and as members of the Pauline Family.
Each circumscription superior received a “lamp of communion” to take back to her sisters as a sign to accompany the Congregation’s three-year journey toward its 9th General Chapter.
