In May, the Daughters of St. Paul celebrated their 50th anniversary of foundation in Taiwan. The Mass of Thanksgiving was presided over by Archbishop Hung San Chuang of Taipei, who is also President of the Taiwan Episcopal Conference.

During the Eucharistic Celebration, two Taiwanese novices, Sr. Agnese and Sr. Rosa, made their first profession?the greatest gift our sisters could receive to solemnize this special anniversary.

The festivities were also enriched by the presence of two of our first FSP missionaries to Taiwan: Sr. Timothy Villaram and Sr. Lorenzina Nota, plus representatives from our communities of Macau, Hong Kong and Vietnam.

Our sisters tell us that this big event gave them a wonderful opportunity to thank the many people of every race and religion who helped the Institute shape its 50-year history in Taiwan, and that it was also a favorable moment for introducing many young women to the beauty of the Pauline mission.
