On 14 September 2014, the Daughters of St. Paul of Germany concluded the celebration of their circumscription’s 50th anniversary of foundation with a solemn Eucharistic Liturgy in the Cathedral of Dusseldorf, celebrated by Bishop Rolf Steinhauser and other concelebrants, including Fr. Gino Levorato, ssp, from Munich.

Many friends, collaborators and employees of the sisters participated in the event. The presence of FSP Superior General, Sr. Anna Maria Parenzan, Delegation Superior Sr. Isidora Perez, and the sisters of our German communities lent an international flavor to the Jubilee. In her address to the assembly, Sr. Anna Maria thanked the Lord for his goodness in accompanying with his grace and providence every step taken by the circumscription.

She also thanked the Local Church, its bishops, priests and religious, and the many friends who have offered our sisters their precious support over the years. She mentioned the first group of FSPs who arrived in Germany in 1964, armed only with great faith, a spirit of availability to God and great love for the German people and culture.

After the celebration, a performance on the life of Fr. Alberione, entitled Who Do You Think You Are? took place in the parish hall, followed by refreshments and socializing. We offer our best wishes to our sisters, who have begun a new stage of their journey, in the hope that the years to come will be rich in apostolic fruit for them.
