Inauguration of the Jesus Master chapel

For some time, the Daughters of St. Paul in Lisbon had worked, together with the Diocesan Cultural Heritage team, for the realization of the chapel in the new home of the Delegation. The work went along with the Centenary of the foundation, and so, on the feast of the Conversion of St. Paul, everything was ready for the inauguration.

The Patriarch Cardinal of Lisbon Manuel Clemente has presided over the celebration.  The liturgy was beautiful, well participated, and meaningful, where symbols conveyed a profound message:  the liturgical space with Christ at the center,  living in the Eucharist and in the Word, in the symbols of the altar and the cross.

Around Him, where almost all the sisters of the Delegation are gathered, echoed strongly the question of Blessed Alberione placed at the exit door: “Where is it going, how is it moving, towards which goal is it heading – this humanity which is constantly renewed over the face of the Earth?”.
