Cultures in the Sight of God: Challenges, Searches and Prospects from the Mediterranean to the World: this was the theme of the 10th International Symposium of University Professors, held from 20-22 June in Rome, Italy. More than 800 people from all over the world, in particular Eastern Eu-rope, the Balkans and North Africa, participated in the event, which featured more than 300 speak-ers.

The purpose of this annual gathering, sponsored by Rome’s Diocesan Office for Pastoral Work in Universities, is to reflect more deeply on cultural subjects that have a worldwide impact. The talks ranged from the issue of religious freedom to sustainable economies for the development of society, from the centrality of the person in the workplace of the future to more humanistic issues such as theological faith and thought, and the relationship between faith and art.
