To celebrate Catholic Press Month, the Daughters of St Paul of Mumbai organized a symposium on the theme Print Media in a Digital World: Perspectives and Challenges.
About a hundred people participated in the event, during which three guests speakers sketched out the advantages and disadvantages of living in a media-dominated society and explained how mass communication and electronic media are shaping identities in a globalized world.
Special attention was given to print media in relation to social media and the concept of reality in a virtual world.
The participants were very appreciative of the entire program and thanked the sisters for the chance to receive updating and compare ideas on such a timely and important subject.
