In view of 2015, which the Church plans to dedicate to the consecrated life, the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life has published a letter entitled “Rejoice,” directed to consecrated men and women.

The letter invites all religious to make a comparison between the Gospel and life, taking as a starting point the teachings of Pope Francis, who exhorts religious to “wake up the world” in the conviction that “true joy is contagious.” He further urges them “not to perform grand gestures nor proclaim high-sounding words,” but to witness to the joy that “springs from the certitude of being loved, of being saved by faith.”
