On Saturday, June 7, a profound spiritual experience unfolded in the chapel of the Assumptionist Fathers in Bucharest. Organized by the Daughters of St. Paul in collaboration with Fr. Lucian Dîncă, AA, professor at the Catholic University of Bucharest, the event featured a continuous reading of the Gospel of Luke. This moment of biblical prayer marked the fourth stage of a Biblical Formative Journey, which has also been taking place this year in the community of the Daughters of St. Paul. Consecrated persons and laypeople delved into the Gospel of Luke, guided by the knowledgeable and passionate leadership of Fr. Lucian.
During the continuous reading, 38 readers generously and movingly lent their voices to the proclamation of the Gospel, which resounded throughout the sacred space for three and a half hours. The reading was enriched by meditative musical interludes, beautifully performed by Claudia Pogorilovschi, offering participants space for personal reflection and prayer. The event culminated in a pre-festive Eucharistic vigil for Pentecost Sunday, during which Fr. Lucian invited the faithful to live out the Word that had most touched their hearts.
The community of Bucharest shared: “We praise and thank Jesus Christ, Lord and Master, who through his Word has renewed the hearts and lives of the participants.”
