With deep emotion, four men made their Promise as Pauline Cooperators on 25 January 2013. Present for the occasion were Sr. Claudia Basurto, FSP Provincial Superior of Mexico, and Sr. Maria Teresa Villalobos Balbuena, the sister who accompanied the men and supervised their formation.

Rodolfo Barrio Folgar, Hector Garcia Zebadua Humberto Reyes and Guillermo Ruiz Castellanos prepared themselves with great commitment for this moment, following a formation program designed to help them come to a deeper grasp of the Pauline charism and the specific characteristics of their vocation according to the thought of Blessed James Alberione (to whom they are very devoted) and the needs of the Church. The new Cooperators will collaborate, each in his own way, with the mission of the Daughters of St. Paul.

Actually, the FSPs have five Cooperators in Guatemala. The first of these, Edgardo Barreda Valenzuela, was in a certain sense responsible for helping the others discover their Pauline vocation. The “soil” of the Local Church is favorable to an abundant flowering of lay persons interested in sharing the spirituality and mission of the Daughters of St. Paul, namely, to live Jesus Master, Way, Truth and Life, and give him to the world through all the means, forms and languages of social communication.
