In India, August 15 commemorates: the Solemnity of the Assumption of Mary and the nation’s Independence Day. This year, the date carried added meaning for the Pauline Family, who came together to celebrate the Jubilee of Consecrated Life, an event jointly promoted by the Provincial Governments of the Society of St. Paul, the Daughters of St. Paul, and the Sister Disciples of the Divine Master.
The gathering was held in Bandra, Mumbai, with around 70 members from the Bandra, Borivli, Pune, and Vasai communities. The day opened with prayer and interactive knowledge games (e.g. trivia and quizzes) followed by a rich panel discussion on Pauline Spirituality, Charism, and Apostolate, featuring six inspiring testimonies from members of the three congregations.
The program fostered fraternity through community activities and reached its joyful peak with the proclamation of the winning Pauline hymn, composed in text and music by the Daughters of St. Paul. The celebration closed with a festive banquet and the shared hope of many more common events to come.
