This year’s International Sacred Music Festival, featuring vocal sacred music ranging from Gregorian chant to contemporary songs, was held in Our Lady Gate of Heaven Basilica, Rome, Italy from 6-8 June.
The purpose of the performance, said Fr. Alvaro Ciccotti, organizer of the event, was to “focus the public’s attention on every aspect of sacred music, underscoring its beauty and intrinsic value as an expression of the human being’s transparency before God.”
