On Tuesday, March 25, the Pauline Book Center in Ferrara hosted a meaningful cultural and commemorative event, organized by ACLI (Christian Association of Christian Workers), marking the 85th anniversary of the arrival of the Daughters of St. Paul in the city in 1940. The gathering highlighted the sisters’ legacy of presence, dedication, and warm hospitality most notably expressed through our book center ministry, a place that has become a vital point of reference for clergy, seminarians, pastoral workers, families, and the broader community. Over the decades, the book center has offered a service that is both highly regarded and deeply appreciated.

The event began with a welcome from Bishop Gian Carlo Perego, followed by reflections by Sister Daniela Cau and Sister Paola Fosson, who spoke about the mission of the Daughters of St. Paul within the church community in Ferrara, and their significant contribution to cultural and spiritual outreach. It was a valuable occasion to reflect on the unique character of the Pauline apostolate, captured in the words of Blessed James Alberione: “Give the charity of truth to all.”
