“With the last weekend of August, we have also completed our apostolic initiatives in the Valli dell’Alto Adige and Trentino.

Like all the other years, on the weekends of July and August this year, we “visited” our Valli, offering varied choices of reading for the summer to tourists and residents. As always, we have had wonderful experiences and interesting encounters: we were not only welcomed, but were also awaited with joy and interest. Many tourists have known us for some time, and every year they come back to take a particular “souvenir”, either for vacation or to take back home. There are grandmothers who look for religious books that they can bring as gifts to their grandchildren. And for the residents, as one of them puts it, we are “the only mobile bookstore that brings us books of joy and hope, who give us a smile and a listening ear.”

In a specially way, the parish priests and also the employees starting with the sacristans, are happy to accommodate us.  Above all, in Alto Adige the welcome is special in the sense that we are at home and, as the parish priest of Ortisei said, “we are part of the Family.”

The strength that comes from the Lord and the joy that we read on the faces of the people we meet, become our motivation to overcome hardships and difficulties and to help us communicate the apostolic passion that animates us. “
