Our French Delegation sends us the joyous news of the unexpected birth of a new FSP Book Center in Rouen, located in the heart of the country, near the city of Lyon.

It all began when a representative of the Rouen diocese contacted our sisters, saying that Fr. Xavier Grillon, vicar of the diocese, and his pastoral team wanted our sisters to open a center for formation and Christian culture there. At first it was not easy to find a location for the center but then divine Providence intervened, prompting a Jewish man to offer our sisters a suitable locale. He also promised them that he would place a message in the Wailing Wall of Jerusalem, asking Yhwh to bring their project to a good end. The new center was inaugurated in November.

During the Liturgical Celebration, Fr. Grillon presented the new apostolic center as a place in which faith and reason meet, in which spirituality is a vibrant reality enlightened by the Gospel, in which different Churches and religions can dialogue with one another, and in which God continues to speak.

All those who attended the inauguration ceremony expressed their joy and gratitude for the Pauline presence in their diocese and commented on how delighted they were to witness the simple and cordial service of the sisters. As one of the participants commented: “Here it is possible to glimpse the One who, like a beacon, enlightens our path and shows us the way.”
