The FSPs of Cali, in collaboration with the Archdiocesan department for pastoral work among youth, celebrated the Feast of Pentecost with 300 young people from various youth groups in the city. Our sisters took advantage of the occasion to speak to them about the Feast of Mary, Queen of Apostles and share with them the Pauline charism as it emerges in the message of Pope Francis for World Communications Day on the theme: Fake News and Journalism for Peace.

Particular emphasis was given to the Offertory Procession, during which the assembly prayed the Pauline Offerory. As the bread and wine were carried to the altar, the young people were encouraged to sanctify their minds and hearts by cultivating upright intentions, and to sanctify their actions through good use of today’s digital technologies. As the globe of the world was presented, the assembly was asked to atone for the errors and scandals disseminated throughout the world via the Internet, especially email and social networks. And finally the Word of God was borne aloft on behalf of all the young people immersed in communications today, asking the Lord to prompt them to make their own the words of St. Paul: “Woe to me if I do not evangelize!”
