Death of Robert Molhant Ex-Secretary General of SIGNIS

Robert Molhant died on the night of 11 April 2016 in his home in Bruxelles, Belgium. Molhant was the Co-founder of SIGNIS, the International Catholic Association for Communications, and served as its Secretary General from 2002-2005. In 1985, he was appointed a Consultor to the Pontifical Council for Social Communications and for over 20 years contributed to the preparation of many Church documents on the media, including Aetatis Novae (1992), Ethics in Advertising (1997) and The Church and the Internet (2002).
 
Molhant’s intense commitment to Catholic communications contributed to the development of quality media and to giving “a voice to the voiceless and a face to the faceless.”
