The Daughters of St. Paul of Palermo celebrated the Feast of the Divine Master with special fervor and joy on 29 October 2017 because it was also the day on which they inaugurated their new book center–a place from which to listen to the needs of the people and sow seeds of hope. In the afternoon, they held a short para-liturgy centered on the Word and presided over by Bishop Corrado Lorefice. Participating in the event were Provincial Superior Sr. Dolores Melis, the local FSP community, and a large crowd of people eager to show their affection and gratitude toward the sisters for courageously opening a second book center in the city.

The Bishop, who expressed his yearning that the new evangelization Center be a place of contact, dialogue and exchange of ideas with the people, concluded his best wishes with the words: “I hope it will remind all of us that, as Christians, it is necessary for us to listen to what others have to say because their words too reveal the Word of God. May we all make the effort to grow in dialogue, harmony and solidarity with one another.”
