The FSPs and SSPs of the Congo recently held a joint initiative entitled Book and Bible Festival (FELIBI), centered on the theme, To Read Is To Grow. Present in the country for over 60 years, the two Institutes of the Pauline Family feel very responsible for their mission to educate the local population and contribute to their formation through the instruments of social communication. In the light of this, they are collaborating with other local publishing houses to help the Congolese people increase their interest in reading and develop a culture of information in order to become protagonists in this field.

The purpose of this first FELIBI event (held from 28 April–7 May 2017) was to respond to the challenges resulting from the precarious situation of the economically-fragile publishing ventures in the Congo. The program of the ten-day Festival offered participants enounters in the spheres of reading, art, poetry, married life, professional training and all the activities that contribute to the integral formation of the human being.

In addition, FELIBI aspires to be an ambient in which various categories of people and media professionals can openly and constructively compare ideas.
