The FSPs recently inaugurated their newly-renovated book center in São Salvador, capital of the State of Bahia, where the Congregation has been present for 63 years. “Everything is the work of God and we say a big thanks to him!” they write. This was the sentiment that marked the event, celebrated by our sisters with renewed missionary zeal. The day was characterized by encounters on the themes of education, health, communications, catechetics, spirituality and reading for children and teens.

Fr. James Alberione always said that an FSP book center is a center of light and the Archbishop of São Salvador, Murilo Krieger, reaffirmed this as he blessed all the locales destined for religious and cultural animation and prayer, declaring that the new Salvador Center is a well from which to draw living water.

In the name of the whole circumscription, Sr. M. Antonieta Bruscato, provincial superior, thanked all the FSPs who contributed and continue to contribute to shaping the marvelous story of this local community, and in a special way she thanked God for allowing the province to complete this renovation project in spite of the fact that the country is going through a period of severe economic recession.
