In these last years, technology has developed at mind-spinning speed. One of the latest innovations in this field are drones (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), which can help us change the way we view and interact with the world. Drones are becoming always more popular in the world of cinema and TV. So far, this multi-purpose technology has been used primarily for filming aerial videos in a number of formats–from mp4 (ready to share online) to 4K (cinema quality). Prior to drones, this type of filming was very expensive because it had to be done from a plane or helicopter.

The Daughters of St. Paul of the United States received a drone as a gift from a follower on social media and are now learning to pilot it so as to use this new technology in the apostolate. So our Congregation too is entering the new media era–one that requires more and more professional knowledge and training. Our sisters say they are still at the learning stage with this amazing new technology, but that their novices and Juniors are already coming up with many ideas as to how to use it in the circumscription’s apostolic undertakings!
