In March 22, 2019, the Daughters of St. Paul of Alba, with the participation of the Provincial Superior, Sr. Annunciata Bestetti, the Bishop of Alba and the Episcopal Vicar for consecrated life, gathered together to celebrate with Sr. Eugenia Maria Montersino her 100 years of life.  With the same joy, the mayor of Alba and a good number of relatives and friends celebrated this occasion two days after.

Sr. Eugenia, originally from Castigliole d’Asti, entered the Daughters of St. Paul in 1931, when the Congregation began to expand to the cities of Italy.

It has been a long life spent with faith and special dedication. She had the good fortune of participating in the growth of the Congregation, of knowing the Founder, Blessed James Alberione and the first Superior General, Sr. Tecla Merlo, thus, carrying many beautiful memories in her heart.

The Provincial Superior, in offering to Sr Eugenia the greetings from all of the Daughters of St. Paul, addressed these words to her: “Thank you, Sr. Eugenia, for these precious and intense years of Pauline life! You continue to witness to us what really counts, what lasts forever: to remain in Jesus and to communicate his love even if only with a smile, a look, a serene presence.  May the Lord sustain you with his goodness and sweetness, and may you continue, with your offering, to enrich the apostolic action of the sisters who in the world and in our Province continue with courage to proclaim the Gospel, to announce that only Jesus can make us happy.”
