Already in its 16th edition, the annual Book Fair (entitled: More Books, More Freedom) for small and medium-size publishing houses took place from 6-10 December at La Nuvola Convention Center, Rome. Over 500 publishing houses–100 more than last year–participated in the 5-day Fair, which also featured the presence of many foreign and Italian authors. The Fair’s program offered the public more than 550 events.

Visitors to the FSP stand were presented with a wide range of publishing choices, with a special focus on Christmas. To celebrate the anniversary of the promulgation of the Italian Constitution (27 Dec. 1947), a big gathering was held on 7 December, enriched by the presence of Giovanni Maria Flick, President Emeritus of the Italian Constitutional Court and author of the books Elogio della Costituzione and LaNostraCostituzione.it, both published by FSP Editions Italy.

This year too, a good part of the Fair’s programming was dedicated to fiction and a wide range of non-fiction material. Dozens of special guests confirmed the vitality of small and medium-size publishing houses and their capacity to combine the search for and discovery of new talent with the support and promotion of authors already very popular with the public.
