This year the attention of the Local Church of Taiwan is focused on solemnly commemorating the countryís 150th anniversary of evangelization and looking ahead to the future. Conse-quently, the Pauline Year runs the risk of taking second place to this project. As FSPs, we are striving to program initiatives that will ensure that this Year, so significant for the universal Church and for us, will not pass unnoticed. † Initiatives: † 9 June 2008: Launch of a page for the Pauline Year on Radio VeritasĖTaiwan (www.tianzhu.org), the most-visited Catholic web site in the country. (The FSPs, in part-nership with other Catholic publishers, have a virtual book center on this web site.) The FSPs suggested and furnished the material for this page: the Holy Fatherís message call-ing for the celebration of a Year dedicated to St. Paul; various initiatives to commemorate it; prayers to St. Paul adapted from the Manual of Prayers of the Pauline Family); a Pau-line iconography; productions designed to help people get to know St. Paul, etc. Study days on St. Paul organized in various dioceses, consisting of conferences and the viewing of the DVD Paul: From Tarsus to the World. In preparation on the apostolic level: various books, holy cards, etc., and in particular a Man-darin translation of the DVD Paul: From Tarsus to the World. Productions: † A Mandarin translation, with traditional Chinese subtitles, of the DVD Paul: From Tarsus to the World. This cased edition, which contains 2 DVDs, a guidebook and a bibliography of the people and places mentioned in the DVD, will be offered at a spe-cial price during the Pauline Year.
